How do you purchase your fuel and why? I have been just buying it on my debit card at the best prices I can find while out. One man show using about $1500 to $2000 a week in fuel. I'm generally out overnight about 3 to 4 nights a week.

by sticking a card in, punching a new numbers and then pumping is how I get fuel
to be serious though shopping for the best prices you can find is the best way, you can use an app on your phone called "gas buddy" and search areas, also look ahead, if your in CA where the fuel is $4.05 a gallon but your heading through AZ then get just enough fuel to get you there and fill up on the cheaper fuel. Just an example but I know there is a town where the fuel is like 30 cents cheaper a gallon, cant think of the name of it right now. Same for a town I visited in Mississippi before, fuel was cheaper than anything 100's of miles around.
another example fuel around here is all above $4 a gallon but there is a truck stop near Fresno where its always about 25 cents cheaper a gallon while the truck stops before and after are well above the price, just have to shop and plan.tinys trucking Thanks this. -

Thats a key that some other people dont realize, but buying fuel while it may be cheaper in SC, you may get a bigger IFTA discount if you buy in GA, so you have to weigh your options. More upfront may save you more at the end of the year.

To the OP there are many fuel cards out there that will give a discount off of the pump price. I use the one from RTS carrier services. I have saved as much as $60 off of the cash price when purchasing fuel.tinys trucking Thanks this.
