I recently started driving for Navajo and have been pleasantly surprised at how well they treat their drivers. They have to ask what truck I'm in on a nearly constant basis since they know their drivers by name, not their tractor. I really feel like I'm in a family with this carrier. I've never haf issues getting anyone on the phone. The dispatchers are very attentive and responsive to driver needs. The entirety of the management staff is very dedicated to helping the drivers get their loads delivered on time, even if they have to reschedule loads for you. This is easily the best company I've ever worked for. Professional driver or not.

Thanks for the info on Navajo! I'm a new cdl grad looking for a starter company to hopefully spend at least one year with. I'd appreciate it if you would consider talking with me a few minutes about your experience so far.

    Thanks,
    Don

Keth you seem really smart and did your homework on Navajo, and even posted in the wrong section. Good luck with them.

I'm not allowed to pm because I haven't posted enough, and I'm not allowed to leave a phone number. Talking on the phone is real communication. Typing to anonymous handles without real names is worthless. I'd rather be allowed to choose. I guess I'm telling my age, but I was raised in a free society where real communication was valued.

The whole purpose of forums are to have discussions. Why are screen names worthless? 20 truckers already posted your phone number on bathroom walls. The search engine spiders crawl the web everyday and pick up on phone numbers and email address. You have to be careful what you put on the internet. What you see as a free society another guy sees as a dollar he can make off of you. Learn about internet security.

We've had drivers get in trouble by the company because they post their name and pictures of their truck with truck numbers and then turn around and bad mouth them. 6 months from now you might be bad mouthing Navajo, Then they check your phone number with what they have on file and guess what? They'll even google your phone number. You better hope you're ready to quit. Employers read social media everyday on potential candidates. They check Facebook to see what kind of person they really are. For example Joe Newbie bragging about pot or how drunk he got at a party most likely will be passed up for a job.

When you get in a truck you'll learn how not to use that phone. ;)
