Arnold is based in Jax. They will hire drivers fresh out of school. They run regional & local. From my research it seems that most of the LTL companies want a few years experience. i.e. AAA, SAIA, Southeastern. Don't forget Publix and Winn-Dixie. Don't know anything about them though. I'm trying to finagle financing to attend FCCJ also. Let me know how it works out for you!

Well it is a legit question no matter what you want to say. It seems that there are a lot of frustrated people who became disillusioned with the trucking thing and I worry about this because it sets people up to go through the revolving door.

The problem is that many won't ask that question, they welcome people into this and tell them that the waters fine. But reality is that jobs can be hard to find and to have an extra burden with obligations at home, it may be more difficult. I would rather be the nay sayer around here that would have one person to think about what they are going to do than to go with the crowd and watch people crash and burn.

That said, I hope you find the job you need for you and your family, and congrats on the new born.

You MAY be able to get on at Southeastern, but make no mistake about it, if you're fresh out of driving school, they won't hire you as a driver. You will have to start on the dock-to-driver program. You will also need haz-mat, doubles & triples, and tanker endorsements.
