Avoid parksmart... You can thank me later. Get a diesel fired apu. Don't do black hot as hell and hard to clean. The Platinum is nice doesn't show a lot dirt.

    TennMan Thanks this.

Repairs are costly and timely. 8 hrs if your lucky on AC. Freightliner fix for low batteries is bringing back optimized idling when battery gets low. Takes minium 4hrs to charge the batteries. There's no way I would go that route. Don't bother adding fridge microwave, or power invertor you'll spend money idling. If I was going ic I would get a truck that is better then that.

My hubby will be in orientation with you guys on the 28th. He had the same complaints about the platinum colored ones too so he is getting a black one.

The only way he can do that is with great credit and a down payment. Freightliners are the only trucks that don't require that, and they are all equipped with ParkSmart units.

The only system I've ever used is ParkSmart since I've been a truck driver, and it does fine. You will run out of power in the batteries if you've got an entire household of stuff plugged in and running at once. On mine, I don't have to idle unless I have my gaming laptop plugged in or I'm using the microwave. Otherwise, I always have enough power for everything else (TV, DVD, etc).

As for a power inverter, mine had one already factory installed, I would imagine that all of the Evos do. I've got plenty plugged into it via a surge protector, and haven't had the batteries run out of power yet.

I've seen evo with tri pac and also the epac. What I've seen lately is it seems sni is currently getting evo with parksmart. Bet there getting a deal from freightliner to push there parksmart. With the way sni hooks drivers into being a ic most of them don't have slightest clue what there getting. There just excited to be in a new truck. Win win for sni.

Problem isnt the credit or the downpayment the thing i worry about is the economy and whether or not being o/o is long term for me i am going in it for long term but say another 2008 recession hits in a lease i can tough out a year and walk away. What bank will let you do that.

Nope diesel fueled. It's set up with California emissions standards.
