I would like to know your thoughts on using JJ Keller's Elog/EOBR. I have been using it through the company I am leased to and I hate it. The timing is always off from the actual time, there is no way to edit your own time, and it drops to on duty not driving at times when it shouldnt. If I need my logs corrected/edited I have to have the company do it for me. The system isnt practical to use in my opinion.
Would like your input from those of you using this system.
Who is using JJ Keller E log System?

I had a free version of big road app on my phone. Worked just like an eobr. If I shut the phone off and turned it back on 2hrs later. I was still on the last line I left it.
So if I was driving when it went off. It was still there.
Same for off duty.
It did automatically pick me up if I started moving and stopped.
Best part. It still worked like paper. I could go back and change the times and locations, or just shut the phone off.
I was legally on paper and didn't keep up with the app. Was just trying it out because I knew someday I would need it.
Paid version was $10 a mth????johnbwheel Thanks this. -
It was demo'd to me a while ago and I wasn't impressed. When they are talking about something like this and they say they have bugs to work out I can't comprehend that.
Big Road seems to be the best option for small/independent carriers. -
Problem with that app is the gov. may not approve it or can ban it. Since it doesn't record direct from the engine.
I don't want it to track me. I turn the phone off.
New reg I read is the all trucks are going to require an OBR. Not an Log book EOBR. Just an OBR. There is a difference.
The basic OBR records engine time. Running, idle, speed, off and other data. Then stores it. It requires DOT to have a computer to access. Yes all newer engines are setup but not required by law.
Soon after Log Book Recorders will be implemented.
OOIdA needs to quit wasting their money and the govs. money on this and change the subject.
Fight companies the put team trainees training trainees there 1st priority.
1st off it will get real trainers in the seat. I mean in the on duty passenger seat. Mandatory on duty while trainee driving. Minimum 2yrs (sounds like a good number to start with.) before becoming a trainer.
1.The rates will have to go up a little. The cut throat companies will not have that truck moving 24-7 and why am I going to deal with your headache when I could do it alone. So you need to give me an incentive to train.
2.Safety of the roads will go up.BigBadBill Thanks this.
