Yup, he probably didn't pay attention to the sign when he went into Coca Cola and took a right out of the lot instead of a left. It looks like the road may have a little steepness to it after the tracks. It always pays to map google these areas just to make sure.

It's a blind right, then a blind left up a 12% grade. A 53' trailer needs both lanes to negotiate those curves. Seen from the top of the hill looking East:

But not in another commercial vehicle. What insurance company will want him working for one of their clients?

A lot of crossings don't have 'arms' all over the country.

I believe his trailer will pull dogleged quite bad. Never cared for a trailer that did that.

No, its best never try to beat a train, if he wins you will lose every time, & usually the train wins with no damage, just puts it behind schedule.

This isn't going to do any good for USX's already dismal safety record.

Not that trailer. It can make tight right turns now! Left turns are kind of tough. :)

He had no business going that way. Probably following the GPS the back way to the truck stop. Probably that guy you see racing through the truck stop. Hurry, hurry, hurry! He's hurrying now.

The railroad crossing even has a lift gate. Maybe he saw the sign and stopped on the tracks to contemplate what he should do..??:biggrin_25524:

You're right. The truck GPS will route you that way, even though it adds 3 miles to getting to the truck stops. Sometimes it pays to double check the routing before you start driving it.
