i am looking to get back into a truck after 7 years is western express a good choice?

I agree with you this is a tough industry to break into when money is tight.

 

This is true! after going to western on feb 21 and staying there for a month (3 weeks actually) ........... I came home, and found a local LTL job less than a month later (started last week), and I was out of a truck since 10/2008

I start at Western tomorrow. Same situation driver. I've heard awful reviews on them but I'll suck it up for 9months and deal with the BS. It's all about taking steps to success.

 

Try someone like tyson foods or melton truck lines or tmc

I am also interested in going to Western for some of the same reasons. want to get back into driving but have been out of it since 2009. please tell us how things are going and your impressions. Also, it would be great if you could pull a driver that comes in to the terminal and ask him his opinion and experience with western.
