WIA Program Problem!

i'm doing wia you wont start until you have your vocher-do you have one. the voucher is cash to the school. if you have a voucher find another school.if not mine took 9 mos to get.

 

they r slow so keep bugging them for progress-dont push to hard

 

every state apparently runs it differently
in nj they had no funding one quarter
but as soon as next quarter was started I was approved
and started school in 2 weeks

 

I'm in Arizona & the whole process only took me about a month, from first contact to actually starting training. I'll be starting my 3rd week of school Monday. I didn't take a drug test or do a physical until I was at the school. Have they given you a reason for the wait? I'd say stick with it, you've gone this long, what's another week? I"m in a school and went on the list in Dec.2013, There are guy"s who have been on the list since Dec 2012.

 

I applied in NC on March 1st and I started trucking school today March 22nd.

 

I am trying to get a grant for my cdl license here in phoenix. I went to a govt office and they directed me to start some introductry meetings. Im starting a 2 week seminar here in phoenix thru phoenix workforce connection. did you have to go thru this too. I cant get alot of answers unfortunately. Im not sure what the 2 weeks entail or what the end results will be. what process did you go thru to get your grant.
