rtruckin972 May you find out quickly and be just as or more successful as most of us are in this little adventure of LP.
On my side of things after 3 hours I was finally unloaded at US Foods in OKC. Got fuel at Loves on the north side now sitting in line to get trailer washed out and this month of grime washed off this truck and turn it back white instead of this off white/brown it currently is. Then I am off to Noel then to to NV and Cali.
You guys and gals don't have to much fun out there. -
I am still here in Greeley. Not sure what is taking so long with the load. I am just told wewill call you when it's ready. So, I am done calling. Already told my DM and he informed the planners. I think I will go get some dinner and if the cute waitress is working to today.
-
So the Load is 11 hours late at this point.... How much detention do you get????
-
Hmmmm. Swift finally called and said the load is ready. Been up most of the day because I couldn't sleep any more. I could go pick it up and try to run over night hauling butt to Oklahoma City or get some sleep tonight and pick it up at 0400 (that is when I will have a legal restart) and make them reschedule. JCT does know that Swift missed the cut off time. Either way, the load needs to be rescheduled.
-
I feel your pain Macho. My appointment for 1400 yesterday in Atlanta turned out to be the cutoff time for receiving. I sat from 1300 till they put me in a dock at 0540 this morning. What really annoys me is I could have been at the receiver at 0500 yesterday had I known they operate fcfs. This has been a silly week to say the least. About the only good thing has been the way the truck is running. Posted 7.2 mpg for the week without even trying. Considering I spent most of my driving either crowding the speed limit or in stop and go Northeast traffic I'm very pleased. Looking forward to seeing how she does headed to Phoenix where I can get some good miles with the left door closed.

I decided to complete my restart. Either way the load has to be rescheduled. It would have made no sense to go get the load and try to run it overnight being up most of the day and would have no place to park either by the time I got down there. The way I see it; the service failure is Swift's fault and not JCT or mine. If they would have had the load ready ontime, everything would be fine.
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Just a reminder guys if you are on fb as well, there is a John Christner fb page and a jctdriversunited page. Join us at both. The drivers united page is for the drivers ran by drivers. We are also starting a few things to help motivate those of us interested in improving our health with exercise and such.
MachoCyclone, Jarhed1964, 88 Alpha and 1 other person Thank this. -
I am hating this load more and more. I get here to pickup the load and find out it is an R trailer. I hook to it only to find out the landing gear won't raise. The yard driver even raises it off the ground and the landing gear still won't operate.
-
Man, I hate those R-Monsters. Never had a landing gear problem with one, but just the way they drag down the road is enough to make me wretch looking at em, especially when there is no aero.MachoCyclone Thanks this.
