Congrats JBRem!
Out of your list I would pick MCT because they have a better reputation than the rest. Plus running reefer from the start can open more doors. But keep looking because you are overlooking some companies.
Getting home every weekend every driver would like. But you'll find out the pay isn't as good. It takes a company time to get you home and get you rolling again unless they have dedicated freight near you. You make your money by constantly rolling. Eventually you'll adjust to staying out longer. My last round I stayed out 6-7 weeks at a time. 3 weeks seems to be about average for OTR drivers. With the right company you can make a decent paycheck running regional. I don't know about VA because you'd probably get stuck running the northeast which you deal with a lot of congestion, tolls, and lack of parking. There's easier ways to make your money like rolling south or west from where you live. There's a bunch of military bases and grocery warehouses around you is another reason I say MCT. Everyone has to eat.
Either path you take you will change companies in a year. Very few stay with their training company. Whatever you do tough the first year out and don't think bouncing around training companies will improve things. They are all alike. They use you and you use them. That's why they train. Keep a good attitude and deal with problems in a calm professional manner.JakeBrakeRem Thanks this. -

Usx would be a great company, I've been with them for 3 months fresh out of cdl school and I'm from va and it's never a problem to get me home. The pay is good at least for me and not all there trucks are automatics there mainly for the lease purchase drivers. And they take care of your student loan for you..

Just remember that if you run reefer your are going to have to get used to the noise.

Another smaller flatbed company is Howard Transportation. They're registered to run 48 states but do mostly 32 states.1tidefan Thanks this.
