Coburg, OR at the TA... dropped down to Canyonville this AM and traded trailers with another driver. at first thought no big deal just a couple more days up north but when he rolled up with the oldest, biggest POS trailer in the world my attitude went downhill in a freakin hurry... can't wait to unload tomorrow and Friday with the product all wet. Part of me felt like throwing plastic on it but the other part said enough is enough, if it's wet then so be it.... My good guy attitude no longer exists.
Where is everyone #2!!

Reminds me of the two guys from Russia. At test and tune @ famoso race track. They had PVC rollbar wrapped with black padding. Did two runs under 10 sec., track officials wanted to inspect it. When they opened the door one grabbed the roll bar to get inside. And PVC gave way under body weight. Guys were banned from track.

I want to see what you consider "Oldest and biggest POS"

It's bad... it doesn't roll either direction on its own so you have too tie up some rope on the inside to pull it open or closed. The curtain doesn't actually tighten so the sides just flap in the wind and stay loose all the time. The back flap has 2-3 openings on it that about 12"x12" so water gets in from the back. Going to need 20 ft. of plastic for anything that far back. It has probably 25 different patches on the curtain....

Man, and they gave it to their best driver?

Who's wheaties did you pee in to get that trl..

I don't claim to be their best driver at all and never will, it would just be nice to have some consistency for awhile. I would like to think I do a good job for them and work hard. It just seems like every time I get on a decent run for a week or two this gets thrown too me and messes things up. The main thing that gets me irritated is that there is no explanation for the switch in the first place. He will run that load to LA and reload Friday and head back north and I'll reload and head south Friday so to me it just doesn't make sense.

Hey Carl what can you scale in 20k axle states? I am committed to 2 loads a week from Monday from Salida to near Oshkosh. A vintage D9 with blade and ripper and a 631 with a dump body. Looking for a 2nd truck.

Well had a pucker factor today. Call the customer. He's telling me how to get to his place. Ok no problem. His service trk. met me and was leading into the job site.
Then I see this R.R. bridge. one sign says 13'10" and the bridge is marker 13'7"
Well guess who jams on the brakes. Crawling under it, I see it looks way to close. Stop and drop the air on the trl.
The hoses on top of the boom just barely clear.
I then re air up and go about 200 yards into the site. Service guy goes, did'nt the boss tell you about the bridge. Ah no.. Thanks -
