I'm still in my first year of driving and switched to a flatbed company from a crappy reefer company and after 2 weeks I have new respect for you guys who have been doing this for years. Harder than I thought but still having fun.

Being a wannabe, and being on this forum for a while, I found such huge respect for you guys. I know everything in my house was delivered somewhere along the line by you drivers, but the sacrifices you make to make my life a life, is truly unbelievable. You guys should, at the VERY least, be on a postage stamp.
I thank you all.justa_driver, cnsper, Dinomite and 3 others Thank this. -
What's wrong with reefer , if refrigerated freight is down , you can haul dry to. Ahahahah. (That was a joke by the way)
you could train monkeys to unload in some of these warehouse , but yet it still take a few guys 5 hrs . Hmmmm -
Wonder how many of us were on MILK CARTONS?
dannythetrucker, justa_driver, rank and 6 others Thank this. -

It gets even worse if you get to play with straps and chains in the cold/snow. When your nice straps turn into cardboard and your tarps don't move like they should...THEN things get fun!! Oh and lifts of lumber slide around like nothing in the snow!!
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
you'll all should be paid more than you do
effing linehaul dudes make more than most company flatbed drivers -
