I got a 2014 Cascadia today from work and it has a Meritor Wabco CMS in it. It basically has a distance detector and a radar and it tells me how far ahead a car is and how fast they are going. At first I thought "Oh that's cool" and then someone cut right in front of me and BAM... the truck automatically slammed on it's brakes. Does anyone know how to disable this piece of junk? After driving 460 miles with it today it is definitely a hazard.

On a side note, the truck is also unfortunately a 12 speed automatic : / If you are thinking of getting one, don't.

Be thankful you have the meritor system, I have the bendix system in my current truck and its even worse. A vehicle can be well ahead of me and it slams on the brakes... at least the meritor system let the vehicle get closer before it did that. I don't know how you can disable it if you even can.
