Gamma , how do you feel about the short training period at TransAm. Was it enough to get by on, do you feel comfortable being solo ?

Would you mind sharing what it was like for you over the last few weeks so people like me who are thinking about TransAm might have a better view coming from someone who is new just as I will be.

maybe things like you never expected , something's about driving that maybe surprised you as being easier or harder you know stuff like that.
you may have posted a lot but my connection was bad in hospital so appreciate any info and info you can share along the way.

Anyone have any pics or video they would like to share with their TransAm training or trucking ? I have looked on YouTube and not much about TransAm on there.

i am pretty much stuck in bed for a while and would love to find some good video and reading material.

Gamma doesn't have any pictures or video's, but his training was awesome. Aslong as you choose a good school to get your CDL through, you should do decent. He had an awesome trainer through TransAm as well. I'm very proud of my husband.

    dennisroc Thanks this.

From what he has seen try to avoid these schools....Roadmaster, Sage, and T.D.I they are horrible, don't teach anything.

I seen a lot of people say a community college but I think IV Tech in Indiana uses Sage, Celadon is in Indianapolis and want you to sign a contract for like $ 7200 and drive team for a long time , not interested in that.

just still trying to find a good school around $4000 and in Indiana and will pay more if I have too.

    T. E. I. Are you sure that is not TDI. Truck driver institute ?

I went to Roadmaster and thought it was great. The instructors were very helpful and I learned a lot in a short time. To me they went beyond what was promised.

State of Florida paid for it. So I paid nothing. But I think it was $6000.

About 2/3 of my class were using state funds to pay for school.
