Love's in Greenville, IL, on my way to Kansas City,KS for a drop tomorrow morning.

Hate running on recap when I finish up with only 2 hours at the end of the day. Unless I take a 34 it's gonna be that way for a while.

Had my 2nd drop-n-hook in 2 days where I was 20 minutes from arrival to MT or loaded call in 20 minutes.

You have been! Ran that route (I-40/US491/US191/I-70/US6) 3 times in a row a couple months ago.

    Denver, CO at the TA.

A nice quick unload at Home Depot, and got a pplan as I was driving to the J. I pulled to the side to look at it.
I turned it down because there was no way I could make delivery on time and the load was removed.
    For a minute.
The planner called to ask if, for $50, I would go pick up the load and t-call it at the terminal.
Sure, no problem. It was only 11 miles from where I was, and about 3 back to the terminal. That was a pretty quick live load, as well.

It turns out that the load was supposed to be picked up yesterday, so I guess they were in panic mode by this afternoon.

Here at one of my favorite truck stops, Boise Stage Stop. Once I finally got on I-15 and then I-84, even with a nice head wind on I-84, my mpg finally went up, from 6.0 to 6.5. If still this wind tomorrow, that 6.5 will not last long. This is the last time, never, never again back up here with a heavy load. Just is not worth it as far as fuel, and then the Oregon road taxes. Had a pplan sent last night that my DM sent me, then he removed it this morning. Live load ag Georgia Pacific in Portland, 1400 on Sunday and deliver at 2330 in Modesto and Winn. Removed because he found out that it was driver unload. No way was I going to unload at 2330. Then after mt, where to park

I tried the Boise Stage Stop the last time I was on I-84 in ID and liked it as well

As far as getting decent mileage running heavy across the Blues, IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

    Be careful going down Cabbage.

It's a pretty drive (I-84 to Portland) but then I get whacked with the road taxes the following month and vow never again....Til I forget and want to see OR.

Yeah Steve, the taxes are going to whack me. This trip I have been stopping about every 60 gals or so, and now hope that get out of OR by way of CA, then not get whacked so bad. My luck, str8 back across the whole state again and get it for almost 800 miles. This is my one and only. If the CSR would have put the correct weight in the system, I never would have taken this one. Yes, it was CSR. I was actually shown the information that Swift received for the load.

The CSRs are routinely falsifying weight on pplans. All the Costco loads out of Phoenix to Las Vegas the other day were 30k and we all know they are 43k and loaded tail heavy. I called the fleet manager on it and he went mealy mouth on me which resulted in a telephone confrontation and another call to the terminal manager. I ended that call calling him the rudest possible name for a part of the female anatomy. If you get an 8k pplan out of the Hot Springs area of Arkansas expect a 44k bottled water load where there are nothing but narrow and twisty game trails they call highways.

This practice was also featured in a conversation I had with Joran and Mr. Dudley regarding the myth of "Business Partner" which was cordial and I hope at least a bit productive.

Yes, and there are some others, like Nestle Water. They never include the pallet weight, about an additional 1600lbs, and Wal-Mart out of Cheyenne. Found out that we haul tow motor batteries in which are about 45K, full load, and when we take them out, it is only a half load, about 22K. Remember picking up a Costco out of Morris, was told about 43K and it was 8K. Because it was saying 43k and I was t-calling, I was still made to take it and get a scale ticket. CSR needs to do their job.
