I have had my 760 for about a year. I use it in my RV and when I am trucking. For some reason whenever I want to turn off to a rest area or even major truck stops I get that warning about this road may not be suitable for trucks. I suspect it has something to do with my truck profile. I drive normal hwy tractors with a sleeper and pull either a 53 ft box or reefer. I would like to know what others are using for a profile( ht,width, length and axle weights) I also wonder if there some way to get info on rest areas and stops on my route. I get all kinds of listsings but they are behind me or may miles to the side. Obviously one would be looking for areas up ahead!! Thanks

I have the very same system, I keep up the regular updates and love it. Like you I had to play with the truck profile a bit and dropped the height down a bit from 13.6 to 13.4 as some bridges on three lane hwys have low clearance on the shoulder and the Garmin was trying to route me around . I have the weights set for 80.000 and length set at 75ft.
The original garmin street pilot c330 I had before, served me well but got me into some real problems at the same time. So if I sometimes go around a obstacle that I didn't need to I am still happy.

If you go to POI factory, they have points of interests to add on including rest areas and truck stops. I downloaded these and for the most part, these come up correctly and doesn't give me the no truck problems.
Also great for getting alerts for red light cameras.
Gotta say I love my 760LT, just took little more tweaking than a normal gps.
Also like to mention there is another long thread on this gps with lots more information.

    supernova Thanks this.

In that long thread ( which turns out I started the thread!) one poster mentioned he gets multiple routes for a trip and can pick the one he wants. I don't see any way to do this. Was he smoking something? Thanks

Maybe he was referring to when you hit the detour button. That is after it is running the current route and you need a detour, then it will give you a few different routes.
Or you can chose different navigation route caluating methods in settings which will change the routing. Like shortest route to quickest route or to less fuel. Also you can change the avoidances setting in navigation which sometimes will change the routing.
