I got a part time as needed / as available gig locally. Did a run to Fayetteville, NC yesterday and back today. Might go out Thurs thru Sat on a run to Orlando and back. It's good to be out on the road again!

Dang MAO12 u went from being a BB stack to a cop. those are 2 different worlds. I spent 4 years haze gray and underway then i wised up for the family and got out and came in the Air Force. Best thing i have ever done. a 4 month deployment every now and then verses a 6 month with work ups. no thank you. but i have to admit i did love it cause all the different place i saw. i just wish the chair force had EA-6B's like the NAVY (i was in VAQ-140 in whidbey Island) congrats on the retirement. only 10 more to go for me

Sure, they could replace all those brand new F-22's with archaic pieces of Navy crap.

they me be old and all but they are great birds. but i also cut my teeth on them. its disappointing that the navy is going to the f-18 growler. besides the f-22 is a fighter different mission. lol lol

BB stacker to cop was not that much of a diff. just other bull to put up with. I know i had to learn customer service really fast. Can't walk up to a person and start barking orders at them right away. Have to ask them do you know why i stopped you? Where as in the BB world you just bark out orders and your team knows what to do!! No time to be nice when it comes to BB's. like they say: Putting warhead on Foreheads. Thanks Bear thought for sure that day would never arrive. But it is finally here or at least i can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now its time to get ready for the real world adventures. Looking forward to it with a big smile and grin on my face. Get to do something that I alway's wanted to do. I know it will not be easy but I will give it my best shot. For anyone that has any good advise pls let me have it. I know that i just opened a can of worms with some but I can use some advise on what to expect once I join the trucking community. Be it good or bad it is alway's good to be somewhat ready for both.

I just joined and read your comments about Roehl, just thought I'd let you know that I've been with Roehl for a little over 8 years. Basically ,I consider myself a Rookie with experience. Hey Roehl... I have a question.. Just went out on evo I, not bad.. But when it came time to come home. They dropped me off 27 miles from home at a truck stop.? I had no way home, and I had left my car 147 miles away at the dayton yard. When I talked to the DSR about it , he told me I would figure it out ???? Now is that a normal drop off of evo I student.??? . Thanks.
I know that if I would have dropped a trailer 27 miles from a consignee, and left the tractor 147 miles away. I would have been fired. Im not understand the thought process behind this move.. I was wanting another perspective on my situation with Roehl.? Thanks again.

Dropping you off at the truckstop stranded is a form of Roehlian methodology to toughen you up for the future with them. You will spend a good deal of time in truckstops in the future "stranded". Dont come into this place thinking you just landed in a truckers utopia.

Can anyone help me information on Roehl Refrigerated,starting with them April 15th,been driving for 14 years.I want info from someone who has been here awhile,not some pissed off student or rookie who does not have a grasp of the trucking industry.

I'm pretty sure that it outlines in the DRG that they don't have to get you home, but somewhere within a 30 or 50 mile radius and you should have transportation arranged.
