I don't think they do a regular LP program. I just left there. Great people, great benefits, but, they are food distributors so there is a lot of sitting at grocery warehouses, their base pay is .35cpm for all drivers, after 7 years you go up to .37cpm. They advertise .44cpm but that .09 is bonuses paid quarterly.
Their trucks are governed at 63 and getting home saturday afternoon then leaving out sunday afternoon is common. I just couldn't get that slow truck to get me any miles.
If you're an O/O, this is the place to be! O/O's make good money there. $1.57-1.97

I need to correct you on RG Transports pay- drivers start out at .35 CPM plus they pay us lump sum amounts for anything under 250 miles. for instance if you have a run that is 201 miles they pay a flat rate of $100 that = about .50 cents per mile...there are several minimum catagories they start at 0-25 miles that pays $15 so with the .35 cpm and minimums I average about .46 CPM I have been at RG Transport for just over 5 years and I make .38 CPM there are raises after 1,3 and 5 years. There is a .03 CPM safety bonus every quarter and mine averages about $900 every quarter. I average anywhere from 2500 to 3000 miles every week. The benefits are far better than most companies... I pay $19 per week for family health, dental and vision insurance. Sitting isn't any different than at any other trucking company.

They do have a lease purchace program but I am not aware of the particulars...I prefer company driver- No repair bills, no tax issues and HEALTH BENEFITS!!!

    Good luck!

That's a lot of drop n hook, if he really is getting 2500-3000, but I did hear the dispatchers had their favorites though.
I was getting 2100-2200 and that was working 6 days, lots of brokered backhauls.
You typically only get those minimums if you're around one of the plants and have the time to run it, if there is one available.
Those minimums are empty AND loaded miles, you'll get a lot of loads that are 269 miles so the minimum won't apply.

Overall not a bad place if you want to make 800-900 a week. 6 days
Bennies are good, people are nice.
If they paid better, I'd still be there.

My advice is if you are there give things time. It takes a while to "fit in" Just like any other company you work for there is a learning curve. I am out some times for 6 days, but I also have weeks that I am home real early on a Friday and don't leave out till Monday. I NEVER have issues getting home or taking time off if i need it. By give it time i mean several months not just a couple of weeks. The only way the minimums work is the averages over a period of time. some weeks thats all I get and those a great weeks and it kind of spoils you!!!
Not saying RG Transport is for everyone but for me I wouldn't work anywhere else. Healthcare Benifits are a huge factor for me and they have some of the best in the industry with low weekly costs. Again, I don't know anything about thier Lease Purchace program.
