The storms have made international news, seeing reports about it here in Thailand.
Here is a link to a good, free online fax service: http://myfax.com/free/
After they send the fax (you can send 2 per day free) they will send an email to ask you to join a 30 day trial. No biggy, I use a 2nd email account for all the stuff I think will get hit with spam.
I just used the fax service to clear up an old hotel reimbursement with TransAm. To new drivers, keep track of your miles and receipts. TransAm accounting does make mistakes. I don't think they are being shady, just a lot of pay/reimbursement info to keep track of. If you call payroll in the afternoons (don't bother leaving a message in the morning) I have found they get right on correcting any problems.

Well, as you guys saw, tornado's ripped through Arkansas, a little north of us. I've seen several photo's and video's of the town, homes gone, the whole interstate...the video of someone driving down it with mangled cars, trucks, and big rigs everywhere. It just really gives you a lot to be thankful for but at the same time feel so bad for the ones that are living that nightmare right now.
It's not over yet though, tomorrow is supposed to get pretty hairy as well in other states (including where gamma is at) so please everyone stay safe where ever you happen to be at.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
I have been wondering about you, ajacks....I didn't know where you were located. So glad you and gamma are safe.

Sure! I have some catching up to do!

Waynetp, other than having to swap, how are you doing?

I don't know that you will be able to see this ....or even if you will want to. I never know if I should post something like this or not, especially when so many of us have loved ones out there working every day. This makes me want to cry.....and pray.

I would normally think this is a good arrangement. I get the paid miles to bring my first load to delivery address but instead of waiting to unload, they keep me busy with a new assignment via swap.

Even being parked is no guarantee of safety but I do know that there are ways to park that will help increase safety. The King always tries to find certain spots and park a certain way during weather like this .....but not being a driver I have never asked him about it. Do you experienced drivers have any tips for our new drivers?
