Does any mechanic know where a good website would be to purchase a decent neqix pro-link that pretty much reads every engine parameters and codes?

The Nexiq box will do you no good without the engine programs like Insite, Electronic technician, etc....

I have the snap on version of the nexiq IQ. With the international programs, Detroit, Cat, and Mack. All of those are pretty good and allow you to change parameters within factory spec. Do cylinder cutout test etc. However to my knowledge nothing for cummins is offered. Its all but useless on cummins which makes it not so good all around for us.

No when you buy the program it's yours. You only update when you need or want, or their is the need for one.

You have to renew the license, if you don't it will still work but is very limited in what you can do.

There is no license to renew. For example if you buy the Cat electronic engine program it will work on every thing 5EK up to the first acert. It comes on a disc that you use a home or lap top computer to load into your IQ. It will have an activation key that activates it the one time. If you sell your IQ and get another one as long as you have the disc you unload the program from the old IQ onto the disc. Then reload from the disc to the new I Q.

if you really mean the nexiq pro link it is old and outdated. you are better off to buy manufacture specific. ie cat et. cummins insite.

The pro link is just a tool that connects the computer with all of the engine programs to the ECM. It is better to use the pro link because you can use it with multiple manufactuers.
