Some does, like company info, which actually a lot of the company info stays on there indef but reckless driving or unsafe operation according to dac never goes away. The only thing Ive noticed that has disappeared from mine in the 10 years Ive been getting it is company info such as would you rehire (that disappears) and the type of equipment you drove disappears after awhile just stuff like that disappears, even stuff about your drug tests with older companies disappears unless you test positive at one of them. That gal told me that unsafe operation and reckless driving never goes away and so far shes been right about that. The ticket ive been talking about (got it in 2003 and its on my DAC this year so she must be right?

That's good then if it was on your mvr. unless you were actually written for unsafe Operation, it probably wont be on your dac. If it is and you don't remember getting written for that then you should tell them your side of it and get them to reinvestigate it. Only thing, if it is on your dac, at least youll know who put it there.

I have always kept my tickets since they come up with these new laws just because of that, which having the ticket didn't do me any good in the one ive been talking about but I keep them anyway.
-
One way DAC is like your credit report is if they cant reverify it, they have to remove it.

I received a ticket in Ms I don't remember what for now but Tn put it down as passing a stopped school bus. I almost panicked. Ms had promised me it would not go on my record. I called Tn and Ms and after only maybe three phone calls each it was correctly moved off my records. I asked them what to do I had all the records and I did what they said. You can keep stuff off your records this way with out attorneys or rocket science.

States don't report to DAC. Hireright seeks out the data themselves on MVRs, PSP, CDLIS and the DVA. It's a private company to company subscription service the gov't has nothing to do with except enforce the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Transportation is just one part of the company. They extend to hospitals, banks, casinos, and many other trust sensitive industries.
15 over can be reckless driving in any state. It's up to the officer if he wants to charge you with it while other states it's mandatory. It's up to you to fight it which you should of. It's not hard to get one reduced if one takes it to court. If it was never on the MVR in them 3 years then you should of filed a dispute. They can't create data that was never on your MVR. Now if you didn't check your MVR for 3 years you'll never know what was on it in that time frame.rockee and TankerYankr Thank this. -
I called my state's DPS and found out the charge came from California. I called California and it's listed as something else (I can't remember what it is) and they have no idea what the charge means. The charge is around the date I got a ticket for defective equipment. But being they have no idea what the charge even is maybe I could file a dispute anyways?

Do all you can to remove it. It's much more serious on an MVR than a DAC report.
-
Yea that could be how they found it out (CDLIS), didn't think about that even though my DAC says clearly on it Reported by Boutetourte County Superior Court. It was a county police who gave me the ticket. My states mvr's never report the city or county where I got the ticket, only the state and sometimes not even that, it will just say "out of state court" (Cant remember what it said in that particular instance since it was 2003. I still have the mvr, the dac report and the ticket from then. None of it says anything about reckless driving except the dac report and it is still on my report in 2014 and she said it always will be because 15 over in VA is reckless driving. She said it doesn't matter what the ticket or mvr says. What matters is what the state said that issued the ticket. The dac has the date, city, county, case number and disposition. For the charge it states "reckless driving" (doesn't even show the 70/55 on it anywhere). Which. at this point, don't really care what they put on it because Im no longer in trucking and will retire in a year and a half completely.
And its for reasons very similar to that why Im not in trucking anymore to start with. They can Call me a reckless driver all they want, but, based on my driving record, they cant prove a #### thing and so I WinLast edited: May 1, 2014
