I always got along fine with Mr. McDermott. Sorry to hear he's gone. He was always quite pleasant with me.

    5speed Thanks this.

Well, Deuce is heading back to home base (Abilene) off home time to head out to regions unknown at this time. I'm still hoping he'll get traded to a larger truck, than a Mack, so I can join him soon. Safe travels, Everyone! Hope you get good runs, little wait time, good weather, etc. Have a wonderful day!

I'm sure his charming personality had something to do with that.[/QUOTE]

Haha, good ole mouth, uh I mean Mike. I wish I knew the details because before I got on here, he swore up and down about this company. He must have called me 8 times

I know this is off-subject but I need to rant. I was at Gatorade in Wytheville and this driver from Pam started going off about Abilene. He looked liked he had many years driving but he was fussing about the cameras. I'm used to it but respecting my elders aside he was ignorant. He said the new generation of trucker ruined everything. I tried explaining the how it worked and why and he was just invasion of privacy and driver monitoring and etc.. guy gave me a headache. Does anyone else run into these people? I tried to look at it from his point of view but I just don't see it. I know what I'm not supposed to do. I've never had any problems with being called in over a camera "recorded" event. Has anyone??

So that is when you retort by letting him now it was the "new generation" of politicians and insurance companies. Then he starts going off about that and you just walk away. You will never convince someone that is a chronic complainer that does nothing about anything. Now me? I'm a chronic complainer but try to do something about it. Hey YardDart - a complaining soldier is a happy soldier...lol.

JB you got that right. If they look they will see me peeing in a bottle. I just for the life of me will not waste 20 plus minutes going into a truck stop trying to park then back to the highway when I can just save time. BEFORE anyone says something no I don't throw pee bottles out the window like many others do. And I have wipes by the door. But the camera is no big deal to me. I like having it. So one day when a four wheeler cuts in front of me slams on their brakes hoping for a big payday its all on camera then I'd get my attorneys to file a law suit against them. Nite everyone be safe.

5speed, JohnBoy and gntorres61 Thank this.

It's funny, isn't it? When I first saw the cameras, I thought dang, but now, it is whatever. I just do my thing. And I sometimes forget that it's there as well and do stuff I should close the curtains for. But, I can say I can't do the pee in the bottle thing without closing the curtains! LOL

I forget they are there too, until I hit a big pothole or something. Then, I check for the red light. I have yet to master peeing in a bottle. LOL

:biggrin_2554:Me neither. I go in a large drink cup then pour into a bottle and then empty the bottles in a toilet wherever I shower, then rinse the bottles and dump that into the toilet. And as far as the cup, rinse with bottled water and pour it out the window. Aren't you glad we had this conversation? BTW, next week I am back on a team truck. Mr Jenkins told me it was that or my resignation. I was putting too many tears and bends in the cab extenders from ugly turns and lousy backing. Not to mention the side view mirror ripped apart and the wrecker to Ramsey Mountain. Still need more work in tight spaces. I don't blame him. But I will miss the freedom of being solo. Still its incentive to keep improving. At least the money will be better teaming. I'm grateful he's letting me stay on. It would crush me to leave you guys and Abilene. Devastate me. Doing short runs to Stihl and Givens in the meantime until my new partner comes back out next week. God, please don't let me screw this up. Deuces.
