I was just offered a position on a 2/1 rotation in Pearsall. I have a trailer. They have man camps where I guess the crew stays during the rotation. They said 2 of the camps are pretty nice and 1 is mediocre. Regardless I'd like to sleep in my own bed if at all possible. Trying to decide where to put my trailer.
Never worked on a rotation schedule before, not exactly sure how it works and I'd be interested in hearing from some people who have.
Where do you stay when you are on your rotation?

You work for 14 days straight and then your off for seven days. Most days will probably be 16 hrs or so. If they give you housing then take it. You'll probably pay 400-600 a month for a spot and you most likely wouldn't be able to get to your trailer very often. The oilfield is spread over a huge are in s tx. Sometimes you'll work close to the border and other times you'll be 30 miles from San antonio.
unloader and Patrickm213 Thank this. -
I'll be paying rent on the trailer either way? There are some spaces right near the yard, I might park it there I guess.
