I see no problem for the most part.

But, some of the log book issues are being really picky and have absolutely nothing to do with safety.

I wouldn't become an O/O any time soon. The customer or the person that is paying for the O/O to relocate the freight is the boss. Unhappy customers have the same effect on us as an unhappy boss unemployed. I will go for then DOT being the safety man on the job, thats it. The thing is being the captain of the ship really just means you have alot of people to keep happy. Yes I can set my own rate but I can price myself out of work to. Or I can get scaled and inspected out of work to. I am not worried about the truck not getting a gold star any time they wish to look its the time out of my clock, and animals sitting on my trailer with out feed and water. You have a rare company job that less productivity effects your bottom line little, thats great not every one has and appreciate yours as it may not always be there. I am by no means all about the dollar, I just want to make a good living for my family and be proud at the end of the day that we (customer and I) got a fair days work for fair wages. That my friend is the "cowboy attitude" the rip roar lay up with a girl friend to long now I got roll 30 hours straight, snatch and grab I don't have to do that its not my job this don't effect me so why should I care attitude is the cause of the problem. The people with that attitude have made it hard on all of us.

 

People that have negative comments about a truck they can never own or drive have issues, with themselves.
You don't always have to know everything.....Just keep"looking good" at what your doing now....!

Really? When /where did you read THAT?? I have read the 70 pages of tripe in the federal register 2x in the last 24 hrs......and it applies to anyone currently required to prepare hours of service record of duty status. 1 truck or 1,000 all the same.....the current proposal is for everyone.

 

You whining asswannbe cry babies driving for JB Huntforaload and other Ican'tgetajobanywhereelse drivers are just jealous and want to bring the rest of down to. Not going to happen. That #### ain't going in my truck.
