First of all thanks for the forum. I hope I'm posting this in the right section.
Truck is a 1995 International 4700 box truck w/ a Walco 3,000lb railgate.
I've been storing this truck for a buddy of mine for a couple months and decided last week to rob one of the batteries out of it for my Ford. Anyway, upon re-installing the battery this morning I accidentally arced my wrench across the battery box for a second. A few sparks, didn't seem like a big deal.
Got everything hooked up tight on the battery terminals but the dang lift gate switches don't seem to be getting any power. Everything else works fine. This truck has never had anything wrong with it like this before.
I'm thinking I may have blown a fuse somewhere but even if I could tell what these particular fuses look like blown I have no idea which fuse I need to be finding... or if shorting out a battery like I did can short circuit a specific component, like the lift gate in the first place.
I just made a profile on here to seek help for this specific issue so I really hope someone can point me in the right direction!
Bottom line - The buttons that raise and lower the railgate aren't working and I can't locate the correct fuse to check.

OK, this is an obvious question, but I have to ask it anyway. Does all of the other electrical stuff on your truck work?

I'm guess you have an inline fuse or circuit breaker that was blown. You might go here:http://www.waltcoliftgates.com/site.cfm/About-Us.cfm and see if you can find any information, or at least make contact with the manufacturer.

That little red wire off your battery should be the ECM but check that inline fuse anyway. I'd say one of the big hots goes to your starter and fuse panel while the other big hot runs back to the tailgate and like Big Don says might have a big inline fuse like 60-100 amps.
I would start by checking for 12V on that big wire (11 oclock) on the solenoid in picture 7 in the foreground. If it has 12V then I would look inside the switch box for a fuse. Most likely that lift gate was added on after the truck was bought and everything is at the back of the truck.Exbreadguy Thanks this. -
I think I see it now. You should have 12V on that big wire on the solenoid. Then those smaller two wires off the solenoid look like they go through a 150 amp circuit breaker sitting on top of the pump motor. Your 12V should continue on through it.

I traced the main jacketed lead from the pump at the back of the truck all the way to the battery box where it goes through a high amp bus (not sure what this is). So, from the pump to the battery box there are no visible inline fuses, other than inside the battery box where it goes through the bus to the hot terminal.

That's it. It's a high amp inline fuse. If you have 12V across it then it's okay. Next is the switch box. You'll have to check 12V across that key switch. Looking at a couple of them lifts there are some I've seen with 2 switch fuses which I'd say is in that switch box.
What model number is that thing so I can look at the right diagram? -
