    Just finished school. One guy never drove a stick before. He did fine. passed and got a job. Look at it like this. You have no bad habits. So you are actually better off. No worries man. Youll be fine. Be patient dont compare yourself to other students. Good Luck

    Another thing that helps to know is your truck's powerband.

    My Mack Vision produces max torque at 1100 rpm, and max hp at 1500 rpm. Those work well as my shift points. If I'm coming to a stop though I'll downshift at 1400 rpm. That puts it up near governed so engine braking effect can assist.

    Learned how to drive manual in a big rig myself. Even if you're just an average learner you'll pick up on it in no time.
