That is a great question. In Phoenix, we park at the Flying J and it is about a 1/2 mile walk to Enterprise for a car (or I drop Anne off in front of Enterprise as I go park the truck). In Los Angeles we have a safe street with legal parking in Northridge 2 blocks from our sons house. In Seattle, Snohomish really, we drop the trailer on a side road legally, put a kingpin lock and glad-hand lock on it and bobtail to my parents house. In Colorado we park at Johnson's Corner truck stop and call our son who lives there.
Everywhere else when we are playing we get creative with google maps in satellite mode. I will drop Anne at a car rental company and park the truck. A lot of times in an industrial area like a warehouse district, you can legally park on the roads and they are built wide enough for this. If we question whether it is a good place to park, we just call the local police and ask them. Anne can get anyone to smile and once they start smiling, they cannot say no to her.
We always clean out the electronics (laptops, tablets, gps) when we get out. Never had any problems and I continue to believe we never will.

It is crazy how tight capacity is right now. In Phoenix to watch baseball and know rates suck getting out. Decided to bite the bullet anyway. Got 20 calls from brokers yesterday begging us to take a load and booked a load today for Monday at just under $3 a mile. The world is crazy right now.
Bigdubber, milskired and BigBadBill Thank this. -
Bet you are glad you aren't mileage pay right now.

If you have the ability to work certain markets right now you can make a fortune. I have been talking to some of our brokers and some of the rates are amazing.
nawarra1 and BigBadBill Thank this. -
Ahhhh, ready for our long weekend in Key West. Good time to hit Florida, rates are not stupid right now.

I've read some of the post here and maybe I skipped something (nococraig) but are you leased on to F2F or are you running under your own authority?

We are leased on to F2F.

What is a good average week of pay there? My gross where I'm currently leased on to is $4900 a week and that's about 2800 miles in 5 days. I'm getting $1 a mile plus fuel surcharge (currently is .46 a mile) and 3 stops a day @ $50 a stop. Can I expect to make the same there at F2F? Also, do you get a discount at the pump and do you ran Qualcomm E-Logs? It seems your pretty happy where your at and I'm interested in the company that your leased on to.
Thanks. -
This is not the job section of TTR so I want to be a bit careful how I answer these questions. First, we are a team so revenue numbers will not match. We also run on a percentage, not mileage and I will tell you, I would not move my truck for $1.46 a mile. I would rather drive way fewer miles for way higher pay. There are a couple of different opportunities here, one is running under F2F authority and the other is running under Covenant Solutions authority. We run under F2F. I suggest you call Shelby at Farm2Fleet and get all the details. I will PM you the number.Gilbertbb Thanks this.

Nonocraig, it's great to see.how far you have come in such a short time. Been following your progress since USX. Keep it up. You inspire quite a few drivers, including me.
