Not to mention all the money they have to spend on recovering a truck because some driver got tired of getting jerked around by them and decided to pay them back?
why do drivers stand for governed trucks?

They charge the cost of recovery to the driver at the rate of like 2.00 a mile or something. Plus damages. Plus fuel.
-
I read a study that said the difference between 70 and 65 mph is an increase of 27% less fuel consumed. Now that is a massive reason the fleets are setting the trucks at 65 or less.mattbnr Thanks this.

Charging is one thing but getting is another. What if the reason he left them is because hed been sitting for 3 days waiting on a load and got tired of waiting? How do you get blood out of a turnip?
-
For every study you read your gonna have a o/o tell you he gets 9.8 up hill pulling 80k in a headwind in his long nose 1975 Pete.

Small claims court. These companies didn't get so big by being stupid.
-
That's right they didn't. Would you spend $5,000 on an attorney for an $800 judgement? Or even a $2000 judgement?
-
I seen a guy tell a judge you can not get blood out of a turnip. Judge merely looked at him said true banged the gavel and said bailiff show this man where we keep the turnips.
-
Point is treat the driver right and quit trying to take from him and youll save a lot more money from hiring drivers and recovering trucks than you will from 1/2 gal a mile fuel increase. That's the one thing they still need to learn.
-
Yessir that's true, they can sure do that, but by this time, the trucking company is still out their money? Plus the money they spent trying to get it?
