passing through my neck of the woods, why I like living in Tehachapi, nice breezes, little milder weather and we dont have to run the AC too often. My electric bill was only $32 for last month and projected bill this next month $34 so far.
Just delivered in Tracy and taking my 30min break
About the Walmart that is one reason I dont bother with them much anymore after I was booted from the San Bernardino lot. At least with Target they allow me to park at any of their stores overnight as long as there is room for me. Last night when delivering in West Hills security drove to the docks to ask if I was spending the night so he could log me since they do not allow overnight parking for anyone else and then he complimented that we are some of the best drivers he has dealt with, I told him thank you but I have hours and will be on my way.
A lot of Walmarts do not allow the parking these days unless your pulling one of their trailers.Lady K Thanks this. -
Sam Walton probably spins in his grave every time a trucker gets booted out of an empty Walmart parking lot in the middle of the night. However I can understand how tired the stores got after picking up gallons of jugged piss and other trash.

Wolfy, I'm pulling for you getting the job and I'm sure all the rest of us are as well. Having been on the road I'm sure you will do fantastic and far better than some college boy who wouldn't know how to get a truck in gear let alone actually drive. Best luck, pal!

thanks and indeed I hope having driving experience also gives me a chance plus knowledge of the fleet and how it runs plus I know almost every store, the time it takes to get to them etc.
Shut down a tad earlier at 4:30am, today will be heading to Salinas which is about an 8 hour turn around plus fuel stop and docking so my schedule will almost be back to normal for Monday at least. So far this week has been a pretty decent week even getting a nice load for a slow Saturday, I know the wife is enjoying it especially since I got my vacation pay the other day and gave her a go ahead to do some shopping for her and the kids. -
Sorry, forgot to say drive past the receiver the 8 miles and then back in the morning. Now company truck that is out of route

the way you keep pushing your hours, one of these days you will get caught in a violation and not get out of it. Swift will just say that you knew you were short and should have planned better and stopped sooner
-
its only a violation if i go over. haven't yet except for that one time i blew a tire and took tire guy 2 hrs to show up. and had to drive to safe location. if i got hours, i'm gonna run it. i get paid by miles, not hours

Anthony, TX. Get rid of this load in the morning, then 2 days off. Beer 30 at Applebee's. I am getting so tired of fighting winds almost day in and day out.
