I'd be solo. I really don't mind running anywhere as long as the miles are there. I hope that with good fuel purchasing and keeping m speed down I could average $1000 a week after putting 25% away for taxes.

Honestly what kind of miles can one expect to run here at JCT. Any sitting around waiting and how good are they on pre planning.

I've kept my avg up to just under 3000 miles a week. That includes down time for svc, and the occasional sitting (which doesn't happen that often). Most of the time, preplans come in before I make my final delv, or while I'm at the consignee. I'm a solo driver...my truck had 88,500 miles on it on 04/17/12...I'm at 405,740 now, so the miles are here, if you want to run.

My avg. miles have around 3000 miles a week. They will run the wheels off your truck. There is no shortage of miles for solo drivers.

The number of miles you want correlates directly with your goals with the truck. If you want to pay the truck off, you can get the miles necessary to do that. If you are content just paying the "weekly rental fee" you can do that too.
What I mean by that is if you're familiar with the variable lease then you are aware that you can bring home as much, if not more money turning in less miles.
Or you can mix it up.
The choice is up to you really.

As far as planning goes, it just depends on the area you're in, how many other trucks are in that area, and freight demands. You might sit a day here and there throughout the month, but it's not a bad thing cuz your logs can't sustain you running everyday.

Will do that. Hopefully one of them will be there. Otherwise I will leave a note.
