fr8monkey..actually, there was 2 8% grades. first one was 2 miles long and 2nd 4 miles long. no biggie since i'm really lite. the detour for 89 i beleive is road at THE GAP(what is says on map) go east to 98 the north. i saw a sign saying Page and pointed that way. had aslo 89, but didn't say detour. at that time didnt know it ws closed ahead and nav and mapbook said 89 went straight, so kept going. but the 89alt was a nice ride anyways. hit a couple snow showers with 1/4 visibilty and one after beaver. didnt stick on road, just on windsheild.

Still here in El Paso. You know when it is bad and you have to wear glasses, not because of the sun, protect your eyes from the blowing dirt today. Had a nice pplan yesterday, got back to the terminal, and found out that it was removed. I was placed in shop stauts. Now out, and have another nice pplan. Said pu was 1500 today until 1500 tomorrow. It is still in CA getting loaded. But I have all day on the 11th to get it to Orlando. Nice 19k, 1700 miles. Nice start for the week. Almost refused it becuase it will not be here until 1730 and it showed del by 1400 and after being up all day tomorrow waiting, was not going to pull all nighters, then found out I have until 2359, so said okay. Now just have to worry about getting out of Orlando on a Sunday, or maybe Monday.

At the Petro in DuPont, PA. Kept getting loads in NJ and CT so my DM found me one to Augusta, GA. A terminal mgr up here removed and tried to force me into a Walmart DC. When it finally sunk in that I don't have a NY HUT sticker and won't get one, they planned me over to Lima, Ohio then pick up one there to Louisiana.

Heavy P&G load to the backwoods.

ya, the weights listed on the preplans are going to be wrong. I already see it coming.

Wrong again, Scottie. The only way a log violation can be fixed is take a 10 hr reset and DOT won't be able to readily find it is 8 days later. BTW, the $2750 fine is for hand held cell phone use while driving.
Something else I'm wondering about. Why is it every time someone is bashing Swift you are right there with the "Thanks"? Obviously you left because you were unhappy with them but based on your posts here, most of your problems were your own doing.scottied67, MysticHZ and blsqueak Thank this. -
Those P&G loads are pretty accurate on the weights. Plus they have a scale right there. I think that charge is $6. I have hauled enough of them from that place over the years, especially living 90 miles from there.

That is one thing that I found out some time back. If you are close to a Wal-mart DC and they need help, they will try and steal you off your regular fleet. They have done it do me at least 3 times, and they never even asked, just tried to do it. I only found out because tried to do a MAC 30 and was told ineligible
