I think in Jersey its only a couple of points. But that really isn't what most companies are looking at. Like I said you can get a lawyer and try to have it dismissed but you are still going to end up paying the fine. It's up to you.

 

I got the same thing on 370 in Orange in NJ. There is no posted sign on I 370 for no trucks in the left lane. Cop was a jerk about it. Court clerk was a jerk about it. Nope don't go to NJ anymore.
I'm sure you'll get the job though.

 

It's 9 points the first year. 6 points the second year. Then I'm not sure if it's 3 or they fall off completly on the third year. As far as the points on your cdl I'm not sure. I thought it was CSA but I could be wrong. Some one with more experience will have to answer that.

 

If you are that worried get a lawyer and have them take care of it. I have gotten several tickets that don't show up on my MVR because I hired a lawyer to take care of it for me.

But honestly one ticket would probably not hurt your chances of getting the job.

 

A lawyer can alter the dash cam that recorded the act of the violation? I want that lawyers number. If you are guilty pay it and move on . Especially if your record clean till now.

Hmmmmm excuse me but why don't you do like you should be doing instead of folks suggesting you capitulate and pay the fine.
You FIGHT the ticket. Every ticket you get you either go to court to fight it or hire a lawyer.
No exceptions unless it's deemed to be NOT a moving violation. In some states it can be as much as 5 points on your CDL. That's a lot in my estimation. So you've never had a ticket eh? Well now you've got one so you get on with it and fight it.
