I have received two left lane violations since 1990 and both were considered serious offenses on my cdl. It will depend on your state as to how many points it is on your license.
You can check with an attorney, but I was told last year, by an attorney, that truckers can no longer fight tickets, particularly speeding tickets, unless they could prove they were not guilty.

There you go!! Don't assume anything.
Treat your CDL like its gold bullion.

You've got that right. They want 100% compliance and if they don't get it, you don't drive. Take it from someone who knows. 40 years with no accident and I couldn't get a job because of 1 ticket, I turned my CDL in and told them they could have it.

Where in indiana were you? Was the cop behind you or did you roll up on him/her? If he was behid you and dash cam shows you joyriding 5 miles in the restricted lane; good luck. If you rolled up, Leo doesn't know what transpired to cause you to be there.

And now you know Indiana is serious on truck lane restrictions.

I have to believe that attorney is wrong. He is saying burden of proof has switched from accuser to defendant? I would have to see the written law or interpretation to buy that.

That attorney saying truckers can no longer fight tickets unless they could prove they were not guilty, sounds like a real winner. You may not be able to go to school, but we are still allowed due process.

He could be, that's just what he told me. Which I read in a truckers magazine last year that truckers would no longer be able to negotiate tickets down. This lawyer said hed take my money and go to court with me but Id just be wasting it so I don't know?
