Snow? I won't tell you it's like in the high 70's with a light breeze today here in Amarillo..
    Yesterday had high winds.
Waiting for paperwork on a ld. to New Salem, Nd.. Hopefully warm as my wife packed the extra blankets under the bunk

So I have a question for you guys since I do value your opinions and the majority of you who post in here on a daily basis are in the O/O game. The offer that I was given still stands but I would have to finance this purchase and I would be pulling a reefer.

Here is the down low and dirty,
Its a 01 379(I personally don't care if I have a hood or not) with a 2000 utility 48' spread axle reefer. Truck has been cared for meticulously since new. Has 1.2 mil and motor has O/H at 650K. Trans is a year old, rubber is all virgin all around and I would give it 80% on the truck and 90+ on the trailer. Drums, shoes, all suspension components, replaced in the past year and the list goes on. 6 month old APU and on and on and on. Reefer unit was gone through pretty much completely about 1 year ago.

The sale is for truck, trailer, MC authority, company name, and him introducing me to his current contacts which he hauls for and trying to assist me in getting these contracts also.

My questions to you all are what do you think its worth as a package deal and do you think I would be better off just going out and getting just a truck elsewhere and leasing it on to start as an O/O?

I know this could be posted elsewhere and Oscar feel free to move it if you see fit, but I would appreciate the opinions. Good thing is my wife is on board!!! LOL

    SHC Thanks this.
  9. I will shoot one big question. What's the status of the MC # ? Is it active? And what's it look like on saferweb?

His authority is still active, he still runs that truck every week. His saferweb is good. He has been under his own authority since 09 and has 0 OOS and 0 violations on his authority. He has only been inspected 1 time in that whole time frame that Is registered on the FMCSA website.

  11. Do you plan to haul produce in or out of california?
