Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to get some info on them? Where to buy, cost, benefits of installing one. Are they worth the money? How effective are they? Any info would be great. Thanks.

Ok, this is what I've found since I posted this.

For the cost of these I think it would be well worth the investment just in the money saved by not changing the oil so often not to mention the added protection. I guess I'm surprised more people aren't using them or am I missing something?

Spend the money and get a real bypass system that filters down to one micron. OPS Is one that a lot of people use.

    http://www.gulfcoastfilters.com

I have been looking into the Gulf Coast system. External filter mounted behind the cab holds 2.5 more gallons of oil. A buddy of mine spends about $100 on two filters and a couple of gallons of oil and an oil test every 30k. Gulf Coast does the oil sample an if any problems calls you.

I have a Cummins ISX and other forums said filtering down to on micron would help the inherent carbon problem these motors are known for.

Right now only certain TA's are doing the installs. I am having my guy that does my work at home look at ordering one to his shop and having him do the instal my next trip home. But I do know if you get the install with a service at a TA your looking at about a $1000 dollars for the System, install and the service.

I believe the bigger spinners are a great adition they need no aditional oil the filter change is cheap it is a piece of paper and 2 "O" rings.
Years ago most vehickles came with a Luberfiner, filter the 750D had limestone in the bottom to remove the acid in the oil, I believe they used an extra 3 gallons of oil.
Many engines use to come with factory installed bypass filters, Cat and Cummins, especially

Ops1 has a very good system, they package a deal that includes a few lab tests.
