Have you check the packing list most of the time it has the person name and phone no. On it. Try that. Many times I had to do that.

One of our drivers wanted a Southern California load so bad, he grabbed the first one to LA that he saw.

When in Arizona, another of our drivers asked where he was going and he said LA. Wanted to know where and he said a place called Shreveport.

I got a load going to Las Cruces, NM once. Called the customer and got directions. The directions and miles sheet given by our company matched the delivery point. Arrived and spent the hot Sunday night in a motel across from the delivery. Arrived and they said that those had to go to Albuquerque.

Dispatch tried to lay the blame on us for taking them to the address on the BOL and where they paid us. For 3 hours we sat while they debated if we would be paid or not.

Simply told them, delivered to where the bol stated. You want them up there, it would take payment.

I call only if anything is different from my load assignment, if everything matches then your goo to go and no need to call anybody. Cell phones are cheap? That's news to me, unless you go the prepaid route.

There is one place we go to and the lady is always handing out the wrong bills. :) It's like she just grabs the closest one, or the first one she sees, and just hands it over.

It gets annoying with cross-dock loads into Mexico. The BOL I have now state 'Mexico', and have the buyer's address. The load is crossing in Laredo at a forwarder (listed on rate-confirmation), but the BOL just has 'customer pickup' and the buyer's name/address listed.

Always fun. Just have to hope that everything was arranged properly between the buyer, broker, and forwarder.
