They have a lease purchase program that I am looking at. I can't get any info on the L/P page, so if any UPS Freight company drivers have any information I would really appreciate the input.
Thanks

You would make a lot more money actually working for UPS than any L/P deal out there.

Not sure about your location but around here in upstate NY they have drivers wanted adds almost every week it seems. I had called about one back in December just to see what it was about and told the lady no I wasnt interested and they called 2 or 3 times afterwards. Are they that busy? Seems to me that being a lease purchase guy for them you would be treated the same as a company driver with little to no freedom. I heard that depending on what terminal your out of they can be a real PITA to work for.
superpet39 Thanks this. -
UPS is one of the best paying jobs in the industry but you are correct, they are strict. L/P must be something new with them? Ive never heard of a L/P with UPS? Maybe its in their Overnite Division? Only thing Ive ever known them to do is Hire O/Os occasionally. Learn something new everyday.

Would you mind providing a link for this L/P program. I've been at UPSF for some time now and have never heard of it. o/o are here sporadicly and they get the short end of the stick. What we do have that is completely new is what they call a LHD, (line haul driver) which goes terminal to terminal during the week and hopefully home by friday, (running wild in a day cab basically). That position will be paid significantly lower than what we currently make but I believe its on par with some of the other companies out there.
70's driver, there is no Overnite division, all of UPSF acquired Overnite. -

http://upsfreightowneroperators.com/ This is the link for you. Sorry it took so long but I had my father in ER on Friday night, he was admitted and discharged yesterday evening while my mother had major back surgery yesterday at the same hospital. .92/mi, plates/permits paid, tolls, etc reimbursed, .45/mi is the current FSC. All 100% D/H, mostly terminal to terminal, paid practical miles. Any input would be great. Feel free to share with others. Thanks!!! -
Hate to say it but at the end of this contract the road drivers will be making .72cpm... Doesn't seem much of a difference for owning the truck.
I thought that LHD was going to be teams. Seems like no more extra board runs at some placescc tanker Thanks this. -
who make the most at ups?
line haul drivers,OTR or package delivery drivers ? -
Some feeder drivers on the package division make well over 6 figures. But i bet the old timers that run linehaul can scratch similar numbers with high mileage bids. With 72cpm they better be. The highest paying run in my yard will make you 97k/year and we are stuck at 58cpm.

When I worked at UPSF, the one guy told me he made 105k last year gross. Said his last job he made 150k a year, but was before all the laws got stricter. Said this company could care less how much you worked, said you could clock out for 2 hours and return and keep working.
