Complete 10 year employment history

He's applying he doesn't have the job. 1st thing he's going to find out is how everybody wants experience. Then he has to weed through all the fly by night eastern European companies who want to pay him on a 1099 and give him a stack of loose leaf log books and say make it look legal. Also dude when you do your application for your 10 year work history save it because you will have to do it each time you send out an application. You really want to work local in Chicago after you just got your cdl. I hope you are familiar with the low bridges, and rude people. You might get 6 months in b4 your cdl is useless if your'e not extra careful.

Yea the biggest thing they look for is gaps in your employment (the time you spent at Tonys Terrorist camp, etc) If there are gaps, just put "Looking for work" etc.

 

I wouldn't even bother with the SSA, you can guess at most of dates, they want to see if you have driven as a driver before more than anything else. It isn't a DHS thing, this has been the case for a long time IIRC.

 

They also look for the gaps and if you were in prison, ie a felony, etc. It would be wise to start keeping track of what you put down when you fill out an app. Some companies may have an interview and ask you about where you worked just to see what you say. HS shouldn't count as much, but it does show that you were a worker too.

Vandalay industries. Get a throw away cheap phone and either you or a friend answer it when they call and ask about your employment history. Answer the phone with a company name you made up, say let me check, then say yes John Smith worked here from May 2009 to June 2013. That's all you need to say. They then will probably, maybe, ask you if John Smith is eligible to be rehired, say "Yes." That is all you have to answer by law. If they ask any more questions say, "We don't discuss that information." Which is what they get when they call Walmart, or any other company to check a reference. All companies are evil and just a business, they aren't your friend and will fire you in a second when they want, so don't be ashamed about stretching the truth on a reference.
