I just got through some hot times in SoCal and Laredo and I know there's more in my future over the next few months. Our A/C doesn't work and it's not high on the priority list to be fixed. So... What do you do to get through stuffy hot summer heat?

Not high on the priority list to be fixed?
It would be for me.HalpinUout, TwinStickPeterbilt, tangerineGT and 2 others Thank this. -
Turn on the central american air conditioning. How our ancestors are turning over in their graves by people complaining about a little heat
Shaggy Thanks this. -
I'd be first in line the throw the money down on working A/C, but I don't own the truck.

fixing the AC is not that important to them? I'd be turning it in and finding a company who at least somewhat cares about their drivers. Too hot = no sleep = unsafe on the road

Wont the owner fix it for you??? That's lame if they are avoiding fixing it for you.

Wet T shirt contest usually get's me through those days
TwinStickPeterbilt and tangerineGT Thank this. -
DOT things come first. They just spent a bunch of money on the truck fixing brakes, electrical issues, chafing lines and a premium PM service. A/C is on the list, it's just not going to happen right now. Until then, bring along a kiddie pool and lawn chair for downtime at the TS.

Bought one of these for hubby when he doesn't want to idle the truck. His has a plug in for the lighter outlet.

the kind of company you are working for,is what old truckers call (cool breezers). you have to drive in the day when its hot and sleep at night when a cool breeze is flowing through the truck. my advice to you young lady is find some other company fast,or if you are working for a o/o find a nice company to work for. i drove trucks before they even had a/c for trucks, and its not very nice. lots of luck
OPUS 7 Thanks this.
