Ran Target Reefers for 2yrs, its a training or team gig. I asked and was refused as im solo and was told no more o/o solos.
Swift wont help me find a dedicated, just keep being told to go talk to so'n so I find them and sent to another person. Swifts just a burn out on my end now, so much so im willing to turn in my truck and go talk to Knight.. Seriously..

Here in a rest area just south of Mt. Vernon, IL. I probably could have made it to the t/s up there, but it was just going to be close. Showed up for my load today and was told that it actually is not going to be ready until 1500. They said that they just tell Swift one hour earlier so that we will be there. What a crock. So I started my clock early this morning in case of construction. Then have to get the 200 miles. I did just that. They have this run right down to the minute averaging 50mph. It is 600 miles and they give 22 hours. There is no need for a 8 hour break if you split it up right. Was sent a pplan, pu at the yard in Edwardsville and del in Romeoville on Thursday for a live at 1000. Declined. It is just pushing my hours too much, plus I said in the comments, need to see a back up with some miles. Do not care for the planning area when close to a weekend. I just know that it will be short crap, and possibly try and get me stuck at Costco. About 4 hours later, finally removed.

 

So can you get detention pay for that?

 

Nope. Appt says 1415, even tho later

 

Detention should start 2 hours after the appointment time on the dispatch ... customer told Swift what time they wanted the truck there, doesn't matter what time they want to start loading you.

GA ... unload tomorrow, then p/u and head to IN.

 

At TA just outside Pendergrass, GA. my live unload was a drop, overnighters gave me grief over that, then tried sending me 180 miles for an empty for a live load at 0700 15 miles from where I am.

 

Came off my 34 this morning, and three hours later while jockeying trailers around at the store, the QC suddenly started barking about my being out of hours of drive time.

Turns out that someone in Phoenix decided that I really needed to have the unclaimed drive time while the truck was at the shop yesterday put on my log. My DL told me to keep rolling, so I'm now on paper logs until this gets straightened out.

 

decided to take a last minute trip to the beach, I took a chance doing one of those express deals on priceline for a higher star hotel, first I tried bidding but even with $80 bid they couldnt match me a hotel but with the express deal of $120 total got me a nice suite at Ascotsuites where we have wanted to stay at for years but could never afford the rooms. Fireplace, balcony with view of Morro bay, living room, king size bed and a Jacuzzi tub. I made out great for the price and we got a welcome packet where I can get a bay tour tomorrow for $10 a person so might do that since my wife has been trying to get me to do those tours or whale watching for a long time.
Wish I was off Thursday since I would love to stay another night.
