You can buy a glider from a dealer in Canada, but you cannot import one from the U.S.
-
So Peterbilt could build one for me, a 389 with 6nz, basicly making them the Fitzgerald's for Canada?

CalNash bought 10 new Western Stars and had 10 Cat rebuilt motors on WS's floor in Edmonton when they came in.

Peterbilt in Ayr built some 2 years ago but you probably fall down from sticker shock. I was told a rolling glider was over 140. They quoted 100 hours more for assembly. The guy I know has around 100 in his Coronado total.

I think you will find that very soon these gliders will not be allowed. The whole import process just changed. The problem is that Glider is considered an incomplete vehicle. So when it is completed you need a Federal sticker on the truck. Has to be certified by someone who is qualified to do this.

Wal-Mart is running Argosy gliders with dromedary boxes on them in Ontario with 60' trailers. Read about it in 2012, been seeing them (or maybe the same 1) up and down the 401 for about a year.
I won't die from shock if the regulations don't apply in their case, after all, they're Wal-Mart and we're just chattel class in our New Gilded Age.
