it happened to me once at JCT, I emptied out for hometime and they threw a load on me. I called and it was taken off real fast.. simple misunderstanding, it was after hours and my dispatcher was at home sipping a brew...

I'm sorry but when I hear a Driver that says he has 10 yrs experience that has a problem with a Super 10, my mind says whaaaat? If you have 10 yrs experience you should be able to operate any Tranny out there. 13 speed, 18 double over, a set of stick (2 Trannies a main and a Brownie), 14 Speed Spicer or a simple Super 10. I always considered the Super 10 for beginner. But you'll have to excuse my ignorance I've been driving an 11 yard mixer for the passed 14 yrs. I dont even know what to say about the LP side of this thread. Oh wait yes I do. I cant believe that a person could LP a Truck and only take home 1200 - 1300 a week and figure all of the extra hassles of Payment, insurance, Maintenance, fuel and Tires etc. was worth it. I make more then that now. Home every night and weekend. The LP thing been there done that. Started with North American Van Lines, I think they are the originators of this scam. I called it the buy a truck get screwed give it back deal. You all have convinced me that when I retire in 7 years my plan to get back out on the road was an incredibly bad idea. Thank You.

Thanx Dinomite. I toned it down for the Forum. I usually use more colorful language. My above post was in response to an earlier post back about page 9 or 10? Sorry should have used the "Reply with Quote". New here but I'll get it figured out.

    Dinomite Thanks this.

Load planners do nothing wrong, always put the blame on the drivers.Did u keep in constant communication about your loads may be late?

You don't get terminated just because you were late on a load. So explain your whole story and then maybe your story is more believable.

If you can't make $$ with Landstar... That's your own fault...

With dry van ? Really ? Post some settlements ha ha . The highest paying freight that was ever on the board more than a second was maybe 2 bucks with an average of 1.50 which at 67 percent puts you at 1 to 1.30 a mile before your deadhead . I've never seen a new truck at landstar. I know a guy in Kentucky who sells used trucks to landstar drivers Only to flat and step deck drivers though last I checked because his van customers couldn't make the payments . I dropped out in 2011 whats changed since then clue me in.
