I'm unloading in Lake Charles and have a pre plan to reload in Beaumont TX and head to Tupelo MS.

I finished the pay period with 2, 700 miles. . But every ACT driver I talked to was struggling last week. I don't know what's happening with our freight but it sure seems slow. Especially in the KC area.

I know most of the trucks are full and when that happens freight becomes scarce. . Probably take a couple of weeks and we'll start seeing trucks lined up along the fence and freight will pick back up.

Sweating last week. . Running the heat this week. . Stupid weather.

I delivered in Tupelo and went to the truck stop by the Cooper tire plant. .I qc and asked my position on the board. . Your #1.. Ok. .

So I waited. . And waited. . Finally I said Heck with it and got something to eat. . An hour later, I'm back in the truck. . Nothing on the qc so I fired up the tv.. let it scan. . Got interested in a program and CHIRP! Lol never fails. . If you want a load. . Try and take a nap or watch tv. I don't know how they know.

So I loaded at the Cooper plant (actually drop hook) heading to Cooper in Indiana for asap. I won't even get into the. . Your #1 on the board. . The load had been sitting there waiting to be picked up. . And I was 1/2 mile away. . But it took over an hour to give me the load. .ugh!

I stopped at Hurricane Mills.. not enough time to make it to receiver and it blows trying to find parking once the sun sets. .

So early to bed. . Early to rise. . You know the rest.

We move a lot of tires. .Lowe's. . Carrier of the year (multi years) Pet smart..

We don't pull a lot of cheap freight and it's mostly drop and hook. .so I use this board to rant, but they do a good job. So I take a deep breath and keep on moving.

I did my drop and hook then got a pre plan loading in Ohio and delivering in Memphis first thing Monday morning. Light load and good miles. ... I'll end the pay period with approx. 2, 600 miles.

    Have a good weekend.

What part of Ohio are you loading. Might have you swing by my house and tell the wifey Hi for me. Only been away for about 10 days but it feels a lot longer. Staying out till the 25th then I'll take 3 days off. Loaded today in Rockford going to Wichita for Monday. Wasn't supposed to load until tomorrow at 4pm. Hehehe!

I wish there was a reefer co. with a l/p like this. It sounds like y'all are happy there and will actually own your truck at some point. I feel like I have some job security pulling a reefer. When the economy goes to ####, dry van freight is the first to suffer seems like. However, if my co. doesn't offer l/p soon I will def be looking at ACT

    kkiesznowski and Jaguar115 Thank this.

    Hey cowboy72,
What ever you do stay Real far away from RWI. They're a reffer co out of KY . they have a L/P plan but I'm swearing on a bible here stay away. I was over there for about 4 months and lost my #####. Over here with ACT I'm just a company driver but I've already made twice the money here than with rwi. Over here it can be done. And probably sooner than one thinks.
This post was started by Jaguar 115. aka Jeff. Hit him up on his post here for any advice or questions. He was a big reason in me coming to ACT. by the way they treat the lease operators better than they do the company drivers and yet I'm still happy as hell.
best of luck to you. Let us know what's going on with you
