Many people that post on here bad mouth Carolina Cargo and the few other companies that give second chances. The drivers that post that nonsense haven't walked in your shoes and aren't giving you the proper respect for having the motivation and pride to not let anything hold you back. Best wishes and keep up the hard work.

Chinatown you seem different for a trucker so I'll ask you your opinion. No disrespect to anyone else but do you think a significant percentage of truck drivers are products of incest or just dysfunctional and low IQ families in general? Thank God I will only need to deal with some of these people at truck stops and in terminals. And then I see some truckers dumbfounded that people have a poor impression of them.

Truck drivers are a cross section of America from all socio-economic levels.

Just like Florida, a retirement destination and destination from all across America for those wanting better year round weather and no state personal income taxes. Florida represents every state in America melted into one pot.

Trucking is the same as Florida as an analogy. With the economy in shambles, more and more people are entering trucking; from high school dropouts to Phd.'s Take an IT guy or school teacher or ER nurse or high school grad or dropout that's spent his/her life on a tobacco farm or coal mining in Appalachia[FONT=arial, sans-serif]. Some settle in to trucking for the long haul/career, some use trucking as a holding pattern in hopes their education and skills will be in demand again in the future.

Some have never ventured far from their zip code and now they run 48 states and Canada. Big adjustment. One thing they all have in common is, they aren't lazy or they wouldn't be truckers. Of course, with 3.5 million truckers in America there will be some misfits and "ne'er do wells" that will never fit in anywhere and tend to give the rest of us a bad rap. It's the few bad ones that get the attention.
