Stevens didn't acquire Knight did they? Had a driver tell me this today. Seems unlikely since Knight is supposedly debt free.

Stevens did not aquire Knight. That rumor surfaces every couple years mainly due to the old addage, "You can't kill rumors after they're started!".
Yes, Knight is debt free, and so is Stevens as well as several other companies. -
Last I heard kllm bought stevens. Lol

It's been a few years since i heard the "FFE is having to loan Stevens money to pay the fuel bill". That used to come up about every other year. Or that FFE had bought out Stevens. If you heard it on the CB, it has to be true.

First week of school down, two more to go. The Knight recruiter won't answer questions to my emails. She only contacts me when she needs something. Sent my application to Stevens while at school. Received a call the same day and told they would give the recruiter for my area my info. She called twice already. One point in the Stevens column. I just hope to have a driving opportunity on Monday following graduation!

Stevens starts on Sundays.
You attending Suncoast in Punta Gorda?Greyghost828 Thanks this. -
Got to Supervalu today and the first thing out the guards mouth is "Do ya know how to back into a door Stevens?" Then proceeds to tell me how this other driver took literally an hour. Thinking he was lying I got my door back into it and wait. The other Stevens driver came to me and asked for help on filling out the trip sheet and sending in a cash advance QC for the lumper. For all the trainers in here, please train. Students aren't a meal ticket they're humans expecting to learn how to succeed in this industry. Luckily I had an awesome trainer, but it's not always the case (Although I've heard we have some pretty good trainers on here) I'm not calling anyone out. Just a very friendly rant lol
flue, Bobcat Tail and Emulsified Thank this. -
No I didn't even know about them till my room mate mentioned them middle of last week. I'm at Roadmaster in Tampa on a WIA grant. 1st week was good, no complaints, the instructors are friendly enough, and eager to help.
If you don't mind me asking, I'd like to get an idea of miles per week, how long I would be out and what home time would be? I would guess that much of that would depend on where in the country a driver is from, living is SW Florida is a unique situation for trucking. -
Have arrived at that luxurious condo known as Crossland. Bought $50 worth of prepared meals at Kroger. Haven't met my roommate yet;but from the Stevens cap on the rack, I figure he's waiting on a trainer. Had some good conversation with some of the guys here. Waiting to see where this takes me.
