yes, Western has very high standards, as for the comment earlier about their problems with Coors, that's not their only problem. If you worked for them, then you know about their "family" relations with Domenico, Federal Fruit (now defunct) and a couple of other trucking companies. I can't/won't post the details, but the things I have heard from friends who either worked for Western, Federal, Domenico or are directly or indirectly have relatives within those companies, it's interesting.

Western has branched off into several other areas, towing, heavy haul, flatbed and other.

Western positions their wreckers on the grade from Eisenhower-Johnson to Silverthorne, and I know they've towed a couple of ours in. Don't really know much about the transportation side... not interested in another OTR gig. Where I lived in Co. Springs, there was a Walgreen's a block away with a vacant lot next to it... used to be two Western trucks which would park there pretty often... got to talk to them when I was running OTR for the small fleet owner who was leased to Malone... talked with the two drivers, they asked my background, said I could probably get on if I was interested... pulling a van didn't interest me, although I didn't know about their other divisions until after I'd come off the road. I remember them bragging about how fast their trucks were governed, while I was putting the pipe stays from my previous load back into the side box of the ungoverned truck I was driving.
Domenico.. run into their drivers at Confluence from time to time. See them pulling a lot of King Soopers trailers, but I don't know what area of the state they service.. TransService seems to have Denver, and I know Co. Springs King Soopers were serviced by GreatWide at one point.. not sure who does it now, but they're not Domenico trucks.

Not sure how they are now, but when I talked to them they were pretty cheap on the pay side something like .30 / mi. If I recall correctly. So on 2500 mi. That's $750 gross, not very good. Not sure if it's the same tho.
