In Texas no employer can forbid a weapon in the company's parking lot if the person with the weapon has a CCW. Now they can forbid it inside a building if they have a legal 30.06 sign stating that weapons are not permitted in the building. A picture of a gun with a line thru it is invalid in Texas. A O/O who brings his own truck to SNI and has a valid CCW can carry. And as far as the lease operator I have never seen a rule in the contract that states no weapons. I was a L/O and then payed off my truck and then bought another outside SNI and the contracts were the same and had no mention of weapons.

This drivers living in his own world... There's no federal law against truckers carrying a firearm in the truck... Some states have their own law which a lot of them are ok with as long as its kept in a locked box or case while in transit... when going to sleep its ok to have it unlocked or out of its case for protection... a lot of shippers and receivers have signs up saying "no firearms on property" ya ok like im gonna tell you...LOL get real...

Where do people get that idea? Nowhere in the FMCSA does it state there is a prohibition on the carrying of a concealed firearm. The only thing preventing it are state laws and company policies. Know your rights driver. When in doubt research the law.
