That is a new way for Swift to lower their turnover rate

I drove an auto not too long ago and my two biggest complaints are that you have to give it fuel to back or it just rolls forward, yeah that wasn't a weird feeling or nothing, and it just seems slow to accelerate. There is this weird long pause in between gears and it jerks you a bit when it hits. Not sold on them that's for sure. Would I quit over it, no. But I like my stick better.

Besides where am I gonna rest my hand????

In late 2014 US Xpress went back to an all automatic fleet. We got lucky in that we got one of the last 10 speed Cascadias the company ordered.

I assume you didn't provide evidence for this assertion because you have none, and you forwarded it because you're unaware of the fallacy of the single cause.

Conditions a vehicle can negotiate is mostly if not almost entirely driver-dependent.

It's bad news for all drivers. The switch to automatics by the megas is inevitable, so they can put even those who can't shift behind the wheel.

I hate autos. I've driven them in pretty much all but the Volvo iDrive. I've heard good things about that system. Would like to drive one sometime just to see if I can really tell a difference between that and every other auto I've driven. Thankfully, our company only bought a few auto Petes back in 2010-2012. They got numerous complaints, so ever since, every batch they've ordered have a traditional 10 spd. I've for a '14 with it. Much happier than the 2010 I drive ONE time while mine was getting serviced.

I drove into town to pick up my next load with the 2010, clutchless auto. I felt like a dang idiot. Got to the drop n hook, and there were other drivers outside just talking. Every little bit I tapped the throttle to back under the new trailer, it would take off like a bat outa hell, and I'd slam on the brakes to keep from ramming the kingpin to hard. Just made me look like a rookie. Lol. Every auto I'd driven before that had a clutch, so I could at least regulate when it grabbed as I was reversing.
