    Well not entirely true...Anyone who owns an EPA '07 power unit is compliant.....Truck manufacturers don't make "49 State Trucks" and "Cali Trucks"....

    Ah ... yes they do, I drove one today - 2014 Western Star with a Cummins ISX EPA'10 with all the fun emission stuff but it has a great big sticker on the engine and on the door frame that says " NOT LEGAL TO USE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA " This is the third post '10 truck i have driven in the past couple months that is not allowed in California. I have driven a few that have the CARB sticker on the door (and hood) with a registration number on it which are legal to drive.

    How would an EPA '10 truck not be legal for Cali?....
    Cali currently requires an EGR system....And A DPF....That's '07 EPA specs....In '10 the SCR was added to remove NOx..

    That is great your not missing much, my truck not legal n Cali either but doesn't bother me I don't live there. So all I can say is if you live in Cali move. I don't miss Cali, can anyone who doesn't live there say they do miss Cali?

    I wonder if that 2014 Western Star is a glider? I drive a glider, 2012 Coronado and it is legal in CA

    No egr, no def and no dpg.....love it!

    All that being said,,,screw CA! I don't go there....


    BTW, I have to say,,,I don't know for a fact that my truck is legal in CA, I was told it was by the guy I am buying it from. Says it is green technology and has an APU so, legal in CA... I still wonder but, don't care so I won't look at the CARB rules to find out. I trust this guy knows what he is talking about.
