The weather should be fine in the morning.
It gets worse in the afternoon hours tomorrow, just like today.
There was a tornado warning in Denver today, but I had all the kids in Colorado Springs for Luana's high school graduation.
Even there we got a really good hail storm, but we were inside at the time. We came out to a lot of ice balls and water on the roads.
We headed for a Cracker Barrel about 6 miles away for dinner. By the time we left it was clear skies and warm again, with dry roads.
I really love Colorado weather.
No matter the time of year, you never know what to expect from hour to hour - because it changes just that quickly.
There is no place like it anywhere else in the 48 states.
And that is not a sarcastic remark. I really do like it.
Never boring.
We finally got checked into our rooms after a very long day. I've been up ~27 hours now, so I'm due for some sleep.
We head out in the morning for a trip to the aquarium, then to a year's end party for my youngest daughters' special after school group.
Not special as in slow - she has been a year ahead in school from her first year in school. She is in classes for the gifted.
Lorelei is scary smart.
She has the understanding and empathy of someone far older, and she seems to know how to use it on an instinctive level.
You younger folks, remember the name.
Lorelei Morse.
She will either settle into a small niche and be forgotten, or she will change something significant.
Maybe even both at the same time. -
Lorelei, thats a pretty name you dont hear often.
I messed up my laptop and ended up losing everything I had so installed a fresh windows 7 but now scrambling trying to get software and files back such as my movies, tv shows etc. So far got at least enough of my audiobook series back on to last the next week and 1 tv show and 1 movie, its hard remembering most of the software though but think I have enough to get me by. I can always grab smaller files here and there when I connect to a store wifi, in the meantime I will download any files I can remember to my seedbox and then ftp it over later.
Once I get back to my truck I have an external drive and going to start keeping backups.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
As I was reading I was going to suggest an external drive for a backup.
Reinstalling the OS is no big deal if you have everything handy.Wolfyinc Thanks this. -
yeah it was supposed to go smooth, I was adding a dual boot of linux and was supposed to be set to install alongside but something went wrong and then it was only linux with the drive all wiped clean. Lost all the audiobook collection but that wont be difficult to get back and I have enough downloaded so far for the next 2 weeks, also lost all those movies and stuff which also wont be hard, its just a pain.
I think I have most of my software back at least and had to go to the hp site to get all my drivers since my wife misplaced my backup dvd's during the move. My largest problem is that I didnt have anything handy at all, had to download the windows and wait for that before I could do anything then linux wanted to be a pain even burning the dvd because of mounting issues so had to go through all the terminal commands and do it manually and im no linux guru for sure.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -

Rest Area, Batesville, IN. Another fun day of pplans. I just knew that when in this area and found out somewhat of a new planner in Manteno. Lets DH 100 to go 250 and then run mt home 160. Got two of those. Then lets run mt 100 and go again 250 and then grab another and take to MS, then grab one there and t-call in Indy and drag a mt trailer home 205 miles. I am really kicking myself in the butt for not taking a Mira Loma load out of El Paso that would have del on Wednesday

road work is getting ridiculous these days, I5 was down to 1 lane and even at 1:30am I got stuck in a traffic jam, over a hour to move a couple miles.
shut down at the TA to get my other steer replaced, onroad told me it would be a couple hour wait, the only mechanic on duty got a call for roadside service right before I got here so projections is 6am to get me in. The guy in the office said he will wake me up if I want to take a nap which I might just do after working almost a 14 hour shift. Today will be a little busy too, heading to Tulare then taking the mt all the way to maricopa for a Purina and then taking a load to West Hills. I would of put the tire off until tomorrow but I saw the tread starting to separate and I rather play it safe getting it done asap. I can deal with a drive blowing but rather not have a steer blow.scottied67 Thanks this.
